500 Acres in Virginia Living Magazine

Virginia Living magazine is one of the most beautiful around, and it’s even more lovely when it’s got a big old fabulous review of 500 Acres and No Place to Hide inside. In case you missed it, click on the cover below and, when the link takes you to the next cover image, use the scroll bar at the bottom to get to page 41. Hope you enjoy!

Last signing of the year!

I love Ridgewood, NJ any time of year but the holidays are my favorite. The tree is up, it’s cold out, parking’s at a premium, and everyone’s scurrying around picking up last minute gifts. That is if they can find a place to park.

I’ll be there Saturday, December 3rd from 1-3pm at Book-ends. It’s my last evening of the year so please, stop by for a signed copy of 500 Acres and No Place to Hide and a Counterfeit Fan Club tee shirt. All tee shirt proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. Give the gift of a cute tee and an autographed book to your BFFs this season!

Going to the dogs

Yesterday’s event at Barrel Oak Winery was perfect. It was sunny and warm, the chardonnay was flowing, and the whole place was filled with people and dogs! I usually get carried away when I’m having so much fun and forget to take pictures, but yesterday I actually remembered. It might have been nice if they’d come out good, but hey, I’m a writer, not a photographer! And besides, I still think you’ll enjoy them…

Donna and handsome Max

Barbara and sweet Jake who's up for adoption. (Any takers?)

I’m serious about Jake, above. If you have any interest in adopting him (he’s adorable), drop me a note on Facebook or at susanmccorkindale@counterfeitfarmgirl.com, and I’ll connect you with Barbara.

Thank you to everyone who came out, to my friend Jilann at Second Chapter Books for coming with me (again!) to handle the sales, and to my buddy Brian Roeder at BOW for hosting me!

Interview on Conversation Crossroad

If you’ve never heard of Conversation Crossroad, please take a minute to check out this very cool blog talk radio show. Last night I had the pleasure (and fun!) of being interviewed by Garrison Leykam, co-host of the show. If you’d like to hear it (and I do think it will crack you up), you can listen right here. Just click on the arrow below. Enjoy!
