Teen Writers Boot Camp

Attention teen writers age 12-17:

Don’t miss the

Fresh Ink Creative Writing Boot Camp!

 Saturday, March 9th, noon to 5pm AND Sunday, March 10th, 10am-4pm

At Lord Fairfax Community College, 6480 College Street, Warrenton

This two day boot camp is designed to help you develop your voice, hone your craft, and push past your comfort zone. You’ll write, share your work, and gain important tips and techniques to strengthen your skills. Writing prompts will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring pieces, (short stories, poems, personal essays, etc.), in progress to work on.

Specifics:
Saturday, March 9th, noon to 5pm
Sunday, March 10th, 10am to 4pm (please bring a lunch on this day)
Bottled water and nutritious snacks will be provided.

Announcing two new creative writing classes for 4th-12th graders!

This January, I’m giving two new creative writing classes at Tagaloo in Warrenton. Hope to see your young author at one of them!

WordyKidz Creative Writing Class – for 4th-6th graders

If you love to write, WordyKidz is for you! This once-a-week, four week long writing class is designed to foster creativity and self-expression in a supportive atmosphere, awaken participants’ power of observation, imagination, and language, and guide young writers through various projects which may include short stories, poetry, and book, movie, and music reviews.

Mondays, 4pm-5:30pm

First Class: Monday, January 28th

Last Class: Monday, February 18th

Fee: $125 per 4 week session

Materials: Bring your writers’ notebook, favorite pens, and/or pencils.

 

Fresh Ink Creative Writing Class – for 7th-12th graders

Attention teen writers! The Fresh Ink Creative Writing Class was designed just for you. Join us and develop your voice, hone your craft, and push past your comfort zone. You’ll write, share your work, and gain important tips and techniques to strengthen your skills. Please note that writing prompts will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring pieces, (short stories, poems, personal essays, etc.), in progress to work on.

Thursdays, 7pm-9pm

First Class: Thursday, January 31st

Last Class: Thursday, February 21st

Fee: $150 per 4 week session

Materials: Bring your laptop, writers’ notebook, favorite pens, and/or pencils. If you require music in order to write, please bring your iPod and headphones.
