by joining me for my first ever Amazon “Bump” Day.
On Wednesday, February 1st, buy a paperback or e-reader copy of 500 Acres and No Place to Hide on Amazon, and help celebrate what would have been Stu’s 62nd birthday. (Not as good as a Tennessee Snow Cone, but still, he’d have enjoyed it!)
Click HERE to make your purchase next Wednesday. Thanks.
I have just finished both books, in two days!!! I was taken aback by the insight of “Super Suzy” into depression, autism and cancer. I felt as if I could see the dogs chewing the dead ground hogs, the cattle chasing Suzy, the boys begging for the city life but loving the country life and the compassion she had for Stu aka “Hem”.
I hope that they have all stayed on the farm, if not running it, then living in the “Nate” house or one of the smaller ones. Thank you, Susan, for making me smile and for making me cry. Mostly for being honest about being a Jersey Girl who has to deal with real life. Keep the wine handy, the boys held close and the livestock at bay.
And, Happy Birthday to “Hem”….he is surely smiling down on all of you with a Tennessee Iced Tea in hand.
Hi Susan,
Our daughter MaryJo decided to celebrate Stu’s birthday in style, getting her citizenship granted on Australia Day down under today (she’s now a dual citizen).
Give the boys a hug from everyone in the TCBA
