One of the things I love most about summer vacation is the Fresh Ink Writing Camp. Last week I got to spend four days with these bright, budding authors and, while by Friday at three o’clock when camp came to a close I was beat beyond description, it was wonderful. They wrote, I coached and encouraged, and as always found myself blown away by the talent of the kids in this community. Two of them will have their work selected to appear in Warrenton Lifestyle magazine. When I know which issue, I’ll post it here and I hope you’ll check it out. It will be, as we say in the publishing world, their first “by-line.” But it definitely won’t be their last!
