My segment on “Reinvent Yourself with More Magazine” is airing right on the home page of my web site! Just click on the word “Home” above, and you can’t miss it. It’s the top video, with the photo of both Confessions of a Counterfeit Farm Girl and 500 Acres and No Place to Hide front and center. I have to thank my incredible friends at Salon Emage for doing my hair and makeup (Charla and Shauna, you are the best!), and give an extra special shout out to Charla who stayed with me the entire 100-degree day to make sure I didn’t melt in front of the camera. You are an angel, girlfriend. My deepest thanks also to the talented and beautiful Kim Petro of Joslyn Place Photography who braved the temps to take pics of the entire endeavor. Many thanks also to producer Jeanne Kelly and More marketing director Ann Baird for selecting me for inclusion. It was an honor and I do hope you enjoy it!
About Susan

Susan McCorkindale is a motivational TEDx Speaker, author of two amazon bestselling memoirs, and host of the online series, “Flaws Are the New Black.”
Her first book, Confessions of a Counterfeit Farm Girl, chronicles her move – with her husband and two sons – from suburban New Jersey to a 500-acre beef cattle farm in the wilds of Virginia. Her follow-up, 500 Acres and No Place to Hide: More Confessions of a Counterfeit Farm Girl, is both heartbreaking and side-splittingly funny as our favorite fake farm girl navigates her husband’s very real cancer diagnosis.
A popular keynote speaker known for her high-energy, humorous, and captivating presentations, Susan speaks frequently on the topics of resilience, grief, and the role of humor in helping people bounce back and stay back.
I had heard about your books. Now knowing you were a New Yorker also brings it all home! I too lost my husband in April, 2012. I only lived on 5 acres in “the country” and my family thought I was milking cows and tending to chickens too…I was also in awe of the cows…then they moooed….I could hear the rooster on a clear morning (across the way) the most wonderful thing about being in the country, 2 things actually, I lost the ring/blockage from noise pollution in my ears, and I was able to sit outside in the pitch dark and see the constellations! I could not do that in a community development w/streetlights! the peace and quiet was something I did not know living on Long Island…always a honking horn or someone yelling at their child…I will buy this book, and I bet I will just love it as others have. Hats off to you Susan
